Beauty | Fashion | Glamour
This year was the 75th Golden Globes. It was empowering to see so many people standing united to support the ME TOO Movement. The evening itself was still full of glamour and impeciable fashion, and of course beauty, but a different type of beauty, beauty in the form of Passion, Strength and Love.
All attendees fronted the Blackout Campaign for #timesup. Black is typically a much harder colour to style in the form of fashion to stand out from the crowd, accessories and hairstyles played a big part in the overall look. The two hairstyles that i have recreated are two of my favourites from the evening. Both very simple but very effective with my own twist for an overall wearable style.
This is my take on Lea Michele’s hairstyle for the GOLDEN GLOBES.
I made a slight adaptation on this style by using a large tong and using a pin tail comb to take thicker sections to create more voluptuous curls. I kept an off-centre side parting to maintain feminine glamour and backcombed the crown area for structure.
Millie Bobby Brown
This is my take on beautiful Millie Bobby Browns hairstyle for the GOLDEN GLOBES.
I kept to the original idea on the style but i opted for texture so it was more natural. I went for the traditional french braid technique rather than the dutch braid which was chosen for Millie Bobby Brown’s hairstyle.
The french braid is typically more textured which is the reason i decided to go with this style. which blends more with the softness i left round the face area. I then decided a wrap round bun technique as it goes with the overall look and feel.
I hope these two different Red Carpet styles have given you inspiration to try something new. Every style can be adapted for every person, event or occasion. I’d love to hear about styles you have recreated for yourself.
